About Me

I love taking pictures, but more than that I love capturing memories. I like to keep my photos simple and real so that when you look back on them years from now they will bring up a treasured memory of where you were at in your life at the time the photo was taken. I love it when newborns are snuggled in a soft blanket, when kids are playing with their favorite toy, and when families are truly enjoying each other. I really love those moments between the "perfect" photo. Whenever I'm behind my camera, I want to document a moment in time that will look good on your wall and have a place in your heart for years to come.

Photography has been such a fun journey for me. I am so grateful for where I've been, and I'm looking forward to where it's going. I started taking pictures "for real" in 2008. I have a B.S. in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University where I learned a little bit about photography and a lot about web development and graphic design. I went back and got my masters in Learning Design and Technology in 2011. Since then I've worked part time for Purdue developing curriculum and training materials and continued doing photography part time. Right now, I'm doing photography and enjoying the opportunity I have to stay at home with my little man. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for me and what journey my sweet little life will take me on!
