Tripti is a friend of mine at Purdue. We worked together in the residence halls one summer and have continued getting lunch every so often since then. Her brother is moving out of state for medical school this fall, so she decided to have some photos of them taken for her parents before they split! We roamed around Purdue’s campus for a little while…Here are some of my favorites:

This is an old photo. It came up on my screen saver the other day, and I love it. So, I thought I’d post it to share! We’re getting a nice dusting of snow outside! Since it’s snowing, I hope it sticks around for our Saturday engagement session!! We’ll see….

I told you I was going to post this…and I’m still working on the blog changes…slow and steady wins the race?
Wow. That’s pretty much all that I have to say about how my photography has changed in 2009. It went from being a fun hobby to something that brings fun and happiness to others too. I feel so blessed to have the skill and to be given the opportunity to perfect it throughout this past year. I look back on some of my pictures and wish I could go back and do them all over again because I am constantly learning and growing. I really am thankful for each and every person and family that we photographed this year, and I look forward to many more next year. I’m really excited that Brandon has decided to join in on the fun and is now obsessed with perfecting our photos. We have a blast when we do this together, and I hope it’s a hobby that we will always maintain together.

For the record, those flowers were dead! I tied a red ribbon around them to keep them from falling out of the pot, and I really like how the picture turned out.

This is one of my FAVORITE pictures from the year. At first, I didn’t even realize I was getting Brandon’s shadow in it. But when I did, I was so ridiculously excited!

P.S. We <3 downtown photos. Someone book a downtown session ASAP. :)

I think this one might be one of our all time favs. It helps that these kids are so darn cute! :)

Alright, it’s time to stop. Check out the Kim Davis Photography fan page in the near future. It’ll have the Best of 2009 album…and there might be a few more. Next up, 2009 Brides and Grooms Top 10.
Congrat on your graduation Ann!
We went around the Purdue Memorial Union a few weeks ago (Can you tell I’m loving this place for cold, windy days? I know I need to find some warm fun indoor places for wintery shoots.) It was really fun discovering fun places in the Union. And, we even snapped a few shots by the Christmas tree. I had a lot of fun editing these photos!

Congrats Ann!!

I spent the last almost week in Minneapolis, MN while B was in business meetings. I think I may have actually squealed when we got to our hotel room and I looked out the window and found this:

(right around Marquette and 10th in downtown Minneapolis just in case someone wants to know)
Which then resulted in this (we’re not the best models, but we have to practice somehow!):

Love love love it! More Minnesota love to come.
These are from awhile ago, but I finally got around to editing them. This is Jaden and my Sister-In-Law Beth. She was chasing him back and forth on a Sunday afternoon and tickling him. He kept telling her to stop, but then wouldn’t let her stop chasing him either. Pretty cute! I love this kid.

Michelle is one of my youngest cousins. She’ll be starting kindergarten in a couple weeks! I think she’s pretty excited about that. I snapped this shot of her at my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower last weekend.

A few weeks ago, I was at my parents house, and they had a get together for one of my relatives. I stole my cousin Bailey at the end of the night and took some shots of her. She is so stinkin pretty! And check out those eyes!

I’m attempting to start bringing my camera with me more often, and let me just say..this inspired me to! Brandon went to the driving range, and I went with him. I swung a few (my best and farthest..drive?…ever!), and then got down to business at what I’m better at (than golf anyway). I was VERY excited about the 1st in this series…sigh…I LOVE photography!
I love how you can see his shadow in the club..That was a very happy moment when I realized what I was getting and was able to set it up nicely…:)
