Baby Chloe

So, I had this post scheduled for Wednesday because it catches me up on my blogging, and I thought I’d spread the new ones out. Woke up this morning and changed my mind! Chloe is too cute to wait. She is getting soo big!! I can’t believe it’s been 3 months since I photographed her last. Babies grow so fast. She is getting cuter and cuter!

Despite the fact that things are getting crazy with school, I am working on some new stuff for photography! I’m in DESPERATE need of a new website. It doesn’t really match my style. And, I am in want of a new logo. I’ve found that I am much better at designing for other people! :) So, stay tuned for that. I’ll also be announcing a new feature that we’ll be adding to our photography mix! I’m REALLY excited about that. In the mean time, enjoy the cuteness of Chloe! And enjoy the last of the summer heat, I can tell that fall is right around the corner (hello fall leaves! I only have two open weekends in October if you’re looking for a fall session, contact me soon).

Carrie, Ted & Leo

I did this family session at the end of June and forgot to post it on the blog! This summer was so crazy with my internship, assistantship, and photography! But, I can’t deny that it was incredibly fun! I’m actually glad my last semester of taking classes is starting up.

Anyway, I had so much fun with this family session. At first, Leo was a little bit shy, but then we became good friends. haha. He was so cute! I can’t get over his baby blue eyes either.

I think the one below is my favorite…

Brother Sister Love

Tripti is a friend of mine at Purdue. We worked together in the residence halls one summer and have continued getting lunch every so often since then. Her brother is moving out of state for medical school this fall, so she decided to have some photos of them taken for her parents before they split! We roamed around Purdue’s campus for a little while…Here are some of my favorites:

Baby Brighten

This little lady is one of my favorite little ladies!! She is so precious! She was just under 4 months old when we took these photos of her. I know a few of them are similiar, but i just love her facial expressions!!

I’ve been a major blog slacker lately. But, I’ve been keeping myself busy with photo editing and work work work! I proposed (and have almost completed) my master’s project for grad school. Hooray for that!! I’m so excited to have that almost finished and out of the way. That will make the rest of my school days breezy (hopefully). I’m trying not to take on too many extra projects (guilty of that too frequently!). In the mean time, enjoy these photos of Brighten. Hopefully tomorrow will bring more previews!

Babies have such cute little toes!

Meet the Kenney Family…

This session was SO MUCH FUN! Erin and I are in the same master’s program at Purdue and have become really good friends. She mentioned that her parents 30th anniversary was coming up….and we decided to book a session! It was a rainy stormy day but we caught a few hours in between with some beautiful light…

P.S. They are crazy. But, that’s why these pictures rock.

It’s Sunny and Hot

We thought we’d be OK taking photos at 9:30 in the morning…whew! It was definitely HOT HOT HOT, but it was fun. It prepped us for our fun filled humid wedding the following weekend. JC just turned 5! We took these photos a few days before his birthday. Brandon and I used to work with his mom on campus at Purdue, and we had a blast taking their photos! I think the very last few photos were JC’s favorite.

And a few fun series to end with:

In a typical 5 year old fashion…He was off to see a puppy that was on the trail…

Friday Fun

We photographed this beautiful family a couple of weeks ago. We started at their beautiful home and then strolled through Purdue’s campus. It was so fun! Their kids were running around and enjoying the weather, so we paused them every now and then to get some photos. I hope you enjoy! I have so many blog posts coming…

Chloe

Can you believe this shoot was yesterday, and it made it to the blog today?? I think that’s a record for me. I couldn’t stop editing…so I just kept going…

Love love love everything about the photo below…

She had the cutest hair bows. I love little girls!

Kitty cat hat. I love the pink soothie too.

The two below were taken with our 50mm lens. It’s definitely a favorite!

This was our first “in studio” shoot. I put “in studio” in quotes because we had it in the den in our new house which is going to be the photo office/studio, but right now it just has boxes and a random bookshelf in it. I really enjoyed it though. It’s so nice to have a dedicated place to take photos and edit photos. I’m glad this beautiful little lady was our first to take advantage! She is precious!! (And yes, we moved into our house on Friday!! Hooray! We are unpacked to the point of being able to park our cars in the garage, so I’ll call that a success!)

a taste of summer.

I’m seriously in love with the warm weather we’ve been having. I know it’s boring to write about the weather, but I really do love it. Except for the excessive amounts of pollen making my eye water on and on…anyway, we went to my hometown a few weeks ago and took photos for a cute little family. Check it out:

Spring is awesome.

We’ve had some great weather the past few weeks (special thanks to April for being record breakingly warm!). I am finishing up my second semester of grad school (exciting! I only have two actual classes left!). We’re getting ready to move into our OWN house (in a little less than a month!). So, we’ve been busy, and I’ve been blog slacking. I’m still doing as much photography as I can, and I’m really  looking forward to going crazy this summer! Our first 2010 wedding is approaching quickly!! We’re so excited.

We caught a cloudy day this spring and snuck outside between the rain drops to get some photos in front of this BEAUTIFUL tree in this families front yard! How fortunate they are to look outside their window and see this beauty each day it was blooming. They are such an awesome family with great kids! I love photographing kids. They make me smile.

Their youngest little guy is so adorable! He warmed up to me after a little bit.

We ended with some story time with mom…I love these last few (especially in black and white!). If you have a family tradition or something simple that you love to do together, I recommend getting it photographed (professional or snapshot..either way). Those are the images I treasure most from my childhood. And, I hope your family will treasure these in years to come.

And after mom finished the story, the big brother took over…I love getting to see moments like this, and I hope that my family can be as cool!!
