This was maybe the coldest session I’ve ever done. Maybe? I can’t really remember breaking out the camera when the temps were below 20 degrees. We were FROZEN after 5 minutes. I can now say that I am an efficient photographer. (Our session was longer than 5 mins, but we were speedy!). Mid-way through, we took a hot chocolate break…best idea ever! So glad we did that. The great thing about the cold…snuggly pictures are super easy! Congrats Kelsey and Joal. I hope you enjoy these photos.
Party of 9
This was the biggest family I’ve ever photographed. And, it was so much fun! Kim, your kids are great. We had a blast and hope you did too! (We got a babysitter and Brandon tagged along for this session too! It had been awhile since I’ve had his help.)
Katelyn & Andy
Oh man..these two are so fun! And so sweet. And super troopers. Thankfully, it was in the 40s this day because Katelyn had a t-shirt on! It was still pretty cold though. We still had a taste of fall lingering at this location…hooray for that! Now bring on the snow for my January sessions (did I just say that?). ;)
An Itty Bitty Little Lady
This was the tiniest baby I’ve ever photographed…and maybe ever held! She was under 6lbs when she was born and under two weeks when I photographed her. She was such a sweetie! She was so easy to soothe and get back to sleep. So, so precious!
My Nephew
We spent thanksgiving with B’s family, and I was able to take some photos of my sweet nephew! I can’t believe he’s 5. Jaden was two at our wedding, it’s crazy how fast time goes! He’s a happy, handsome boy now. He and Gavin had so much fun playing together. Jaden is a great “big cousin”. I know Gavin is going to follow him around like crazy in no time!
I really love these in black and white too. He is such a sweet kid!
One last post
This will be my last post before Thanksgiving.
I am so excited to post these pictures. I have been pondering and rethinking my approach to newborn photos. I’ve recently had the opportunity to photograph two of my photographer friends Jessica and Kelly. They both had a baby recently (within 10 days of each other). I was able to photograph each of their families (no need to do their babies as they are amazing photographers themselves). Anyway, this is part of what will become a reformed approach to newborn photos which I will talk about whenever I manage to finalize my thoughts on what I’m going to do.
So, for starters, here is Jessica’s new family of 5. She has three beautiful and sweet children. (I took her older kids to the park after Jessica had her baby with another friend, and afterwards, they invited me to their birthday parties. hehe. I love how easily you can become best friends with kids around those ages by doing something with them that they love.) Here are a few…Enjoy!
M&M & M&M
Matt and Megan are good friends of mine. We roamed around downtown for some family photos and fun. And then we got Mary Lou’s Apple Fritters. If you’re local, those are a MUST. I think this was our last warm Saturday for photos, and it was definitely worth it! These little kiddos were photo champs, and super cute.
More downtown fun
We roamed around downtown for this session. I seriously love downtown. I think I find a new place to photograph each time I go there. I love the textures, the old buildings, and the character of downtown. It’s clean, and it’s cozy. There are quite a few cute shops on main street too. Ryan and Audra and their sweet dog (easiest dog I’ve ever photographed) were so fun to photograph! I hope you enjoy the photos.
A Handsome Little Frog
This sweet little boy was so fun to photograph. He was a little champ. He stayed awake long enough to see his precious little eyes and then conked out and let us have some fun.
